What Happens When You Put DEF In The Fuel Tank??

This customer accidentally put DEF fluid in his diesel tank and contaminated the entire fuel system. He then took it to ‪@elitefleetautomotive9181‬ to see what needed to be done to save it. Being a fairly new low mileage truck with full coverage insurance, the insurance adjuster wanted proof that it had contaminates in the fuel. So me and Nate decided it would be the perfect time to show what happens when DEF gets mixed in the fuel system, and what it does to the parts inside. Once DEF contaminates a component, there is no way of completely removing it. So the only way to ensure that it has no future problems from this incident is to replace every component that the contaminated fuel touches. It is a VERY involved process and will require a lot of parts get replaced.
