The Indo-Pacific region stands at a critical juncture as the United States recalibrates its global relationships, and governments across Asia navigate a rapidly evolving landscape. Economic, fiscal, and military concerns are increasingly interconnected, with trade imbalances, tariffs, defence spending, and the advent of emerging technologies redefining alliances and shaping the region’s future.
In this context, The Asia Group, in partnership with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, the American Chamber of Commerce, and the US-ASEAN Business Council, hosted a landmark dialogue featuring two of America’s foremost Asia policy experts — Dr Kurt M Campbell, Chairman of The Asia Group, and Mr Matt Pottinger, CEO of Garnaut Global. Joined by Professor Joseph Liow, Dean of NTU’s College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, the panel explored how evolving US foreign policy is impacting the Asian geopolitical and business environment.
The session was moderated by Ambassador Chan Heng Chee, one of Singapore’s most esteemed diplomats, with distinguished panelists analysing the risks, opportunities, and strategic choices that will define the Indo-Pacific in the years ahead.
