Took out the Team Associated Reflex 14b out to the bmx track today, as i upgraded the ESC to a 10BL50 Speed Controller. I also came out with Saul from @rccrazy . He joined me on our usual catchup. #rccar #rc #rcmods
The Team Associated Reflex 14B, is a great little rc car, but it has an issue with the motor mount.
everytime it bumps and jumps, the motor vibrates off its mounting point and creates an issue with the meshing of the pinion and spur gears
This is a rteal issue because it can cause damage to the gears if they are not meshed correctly.
The saving grace is that the pinion is metal, but the spur is plastic. There is a metal upgrade you can buy, which i will out a link down below.
Overall its a great little car, with great potential and heaps of fun.
Its well balanced, has heaps of power on 3s and takes it perfectly.
