Building the cylinder out of 3/4 inch copper pipe and other copper sheet scrapes. And don't forget the solder... lots and lots of solder. Silver solder is recommended because it has a higher strength. I do not however recommend brazing. Brazing will remove the annealing from the copper and will make it very soft. Possibly too soft. That's just my opinion though. Plus I don't have brazing equipment. I am thinking this could also be done with JB Weld and epoxy putty. You would just need to use a lot to make sure it's strong enough as JB Weld has about half the tensile strength of the solder I used.
