The Fourth Industrial Revolution brings a looming fear that to survive, we all need to develop only technology-oriented skills or highly scientific skills. Whereas, the opposite is true. As cited by some of the biggest industry giants that deal with futuristic operations are of the opinion that the most in-demand skills of the next year are going to be creativity, collaboration, interpersonal dynamics between people, teamwork, specialised sales role, care-related roles, and knowledge related roles. These are skills that have people and connection at the core, not technology. We will need to deploy technology across all of that, but it is going to be a combination of being digital as well as humane. Because however, advanced our machines become, being human is something they can never do.
Saadia Zahidi | Managing Director, World Economic Forum
“The universe is full of mysteries. Solving the enigma of this world has always been the single most important pursuit since the dawn of mankind. Acquiring knowledge and using it to change the world around us is the quest that motivates us to take giant leaps towards a promising future. Life has always been a journey of bringing cognizance to the human soul. If we are to continue this proud tradition of exploration, it is vital that we guide young minds to have the same fervor and zeal when it comes to knowledge absorption and application”.
