The only things I knew going into Amazon's new superhero series Invincible are that it's animated, it's for adults, and it has a stacked voice cast. Otherwise I avoided everything about it once I caught wind that folks were diggin it, and so did Mike & J of We Watched A Movie! As fellow fans of all things fucked up, I brought them in just in case this show was really for adults... and boy were they the right choice for this marathon. Buckle up. Or don't. This show doesn't care.

Plot (via Wiki & ChatGPT):
The Mauler Twins, villainous scientists, attack the White House but are repelled by the Guardians of the Globe and Omni-Man (JK Simmons), including Nolan's son Mark (Steven Yeun). Mark defends a classmate from a bully and his powers eventually emerge. He receives training from his father, but a harsh lesson leaves him hurt. Mark becomes "Invincible" with a new suit. Nolan secretly kills the Guardians, leading to a comatose state.

The Flaxans attack, and Mark helps the Teen Team. He befriends Atom Eve (Gillian Jacobs). The Flaxans return with anti-aging tech, but Mark and the Teen Team stop them. Nolan forces the Flaxans back to their dimension. Damien Darkblood (Clancy Brown) investigates the Guardians' deaths.

The Graysons attend a private burial, and Darkblood questions Nolan. Cecil (Walton Goggins) asks Robot (Zachary Quinto) to form a new Guardians roster, but Eve quits. Amber (Zazie Beetz) gets close to Mark. The Maulers (Kevin Michael Richardson) escape from GDA prison.

Debbie (Sandra Oh) finds Darkblood's notepad, leading to suspicions. Mark helps Titan defeat Machine Head. The GDA discovers Mark's blood is invulnerable. Mark reconciles with Amber but loses her due to a cyborg incident.

Debbie and Cecil learn Nolan is the killer. Robot gathers ingredients to heal Monster Girl. The Maulers grow a body for Robot and revive the Immortal (Ross Marquand). Amber breaks up with Mark, and he reconciles with Eve.

Debbie relocates to the GDA, learning the truth. Nolan kills GDA agents and his clone. The Immortal returns and battles Nolan. Nolan reveals his Viltrumite identity, battles Mark, and abandons Earth.

The world learns of Nolan's betrayal, and Mark rekindles his relationship with Amber. Allen (Seth Rogen) warns Mark of the Viltrumites. The Maulers are arrested, and villainous forces plot their return. Cecil commissions Sinclair for contingency troops.
