"इस एपिसोड में कार्तिकेय ने सम्मानपूर्वक उस राक्षस के शरीर को जला दिया और माफी मांगी। कार्तिकेय ने पार्वती से कहा कि उसने युद्ध के नियमों का उल्लंघन किया है इसलिए वह अब उसका शिष्य नहीं है, वह कभी भी किसी भी युद्ध में भाग नहीं लेगा और न ही कभी हथियार उठाएगा। कार्तिकेय कैलाश से चले जाते हैं और पश्चाताप के लिए शिवलिंग बनाते हैं और तपस्या करना शुरू कर देते हैं। दिति ने राक्षस को कार्तिकेय पर हमला करने के लिए भेजा। भेरवनाथ ने राक्षसों से कार्तिकेय की रक्षा की। पार्वती पाताल लोक में प्रकट हुईं और दिति को यह सब छोड़ने और अपने बेटों को बचाने के लिए समझाया, अन्यथा उसे ऐसा करना पड़ता। अपने पुत्र तारकासुर की मृत्यु का सामना करो।"
