Using 1/4 scale or full size slopers to learn Patternmaking for Fashion Design

Fashion patternmaking is the very first class I ever taught at Parsons School of Design after I graduated.
I still teach it today and once I learned draping and patternmaking for fashion design, I really never purchased a commercial sewing pattern again!
It's extremely empowering and liberating to demystify patternmaking and learn to understand the vocabulary, the geography, the tools and techniques that go into making garments for fashion, dfor accessories, for costume design, etc!
These are lifetime skills that lead to a lifetime of creative discovery and self expression.

In my course, you can use full size pattern slopers that you drape yourself, that you draft yourself after you get comfortable with the skills,
OR you can advance more quickly through the material using quarter-scale pattern slopers that I provide you with before you start working full size (it's nice to make your first steps on small scale because patterns, as you know, are.... PEOPLE SIZED! that's pretty big :0)
