This video covers finishing a flat back acrylic foot standup. What does that mean? It means that the piece doesn't have a hanging loop (flat back) and stands up on its own using an acrylic foot with a pocket.
This needlepoint finishing technique video is predicated on the ability to finish an ornament. Download my free Ornament Finishing Guide to learn basic techniques and access additional resources.
In this video I cover three key techniques to finishing a flat back acrylic foot standup:
1. Notching your backing board to accommodate and hide the acrylic foot
2. Lining the front of your canvas to hide visible canvas or backing board if viewed from the back
3. Joining cording as you will not have a loop involved to hide the ends
