A spectacular eruption of Coal Tit is ongoing in Scandinavia this year. Several hundred have already left Falsterbo heading towards Denmark. The birds are usually spotted when big flocks take off from the Lighthouse garden, climb several hundred meters in altitude, and start heading towards Stevns Klint.
The highest day count in Falsterbo is 7001, and the highest season count is 15 515. Both happened in 1975, i.e. 50 years ago, and we are curious what this years count will end at.
