Grease interceptors are a very necessary component to any kitchen as it is designed to trap and contain Fats, Oils and Grease to be later pumped and allowing water to flow out to our sewer lines. The problem however is that more often than not, grease interceptors are not pumped at the frequency they require to fulfill their design. Instead, they are used as grease holding tanks, and grease ends up flowing downstream plugging up lines and creating problems.

Island Resorts and communities often have even larger challenges, as pumping costs are very high and there aren't many places to dispose of the FOG that is pumped. With IMET installed there is minimal to no pumping as the IMET aerobic modules denature the grease enabling for its much easier treatment downstream.
