Me Playing Half Life 2: Episode One, getting "The One Free Bullet" achievement.
Achievement Conditions: Finish the game firing exactly one bullet. Grenade, crowbar, rocket, and Gravity Gun kills are okay!
Note: I have gotten all achievements in the game, including this one many times.
I just used SAM (Steam Achievement Manager) to relock all the achievements so I can unlock them again.
However, this did cause some bugs as now some of the achievements won't reunlock again.
Luckily, The One Free Bullet unlocks fine each time without problems.
Note 2: I haven't played Half Life 2 (or either episode) in awhile, so in the video, I do make some simple mistakes.
Like forgetting I have to do ?? before ??, sometimes I go the wrong away.
While it isn't a major problem, I probably COULD have shaved off around 5 minutes, MAYBE up to 10 minutes of mistakes had I done a trial run.
I do remember most of the MAIN things I have to do so I don't aimlessly wonder off lost for awhile.
Video was Recorded at 1600 x 1200 at 60 FPS with FRAPS.
No settings were lowered, everything is maxed out.
The recording space for this video ALONE (captured by FRAPS @ 60 FPS at 1600 x 1200) was 469 GB big.
I picked different encoder settings from the recent L4D2 video I posted.
I also had it change it from 1600 x 1200 to 1440 x 1080. Since youtube converts the resolution to that anyway, might as well change it.
Since my Monitor is still 4:3 and not either 16:9 / 16:10, that's why the resolution may seem weird.
Video clocked in at about 2 hours, but after editing to remove "deaths, stuttering from bugs, loading screens", I was able to shave off about 9 minutes off the video.
For those that don't know, for HL2 Games (some pay Portal also).
Long story short, sometimes randomly but usually when saving, the game will stutter and freeze up (sound loops also) for a few seconds.
Usually it's between 2 to 10 seconds. I cut those out to just before it happens, and just after it stops.
I also cut out the loading screen, up to the LAST FRAME before "loading" and the 1st frame after it.
So because of this, it MAY LOOK like it jumps to a separate clip (I look from 1 place to another quick).
During the "Stutter" the game didn't show the player moving his view so when it comes out of stuttering, i'm looking at a different direction.
This also happens between loading screens as well, and if I die and cut out the previous clip where I died.
So this wasn't a "perfect" attempt to get it, but it's still passable.
I hadn't played HL2 (any of them) for a few months I think so I was out of practice.
Note 3: A few times during the video (usually during scripted dialogue events) i just stare off, not moving.
Well, my allergies were acting up while recording so I was CONSTANTLY sneezing. It was very annoying.

Somewhat off topic

1 Achievement I would love to film getting, would be the "Little Rocket Man" achievement for HL2: Episode 2.
But I will need a new Hard Drive to capture that since I'm guessing it will take at LEAST 3 to 5 hours.
Constant starting/stopping in the car to get the gnome as he fell out, will add up after awhile.
And if I EVER recorded the above achievement, i would do at LEAST 1 or 2 trial runs 1st, so i could map out and plan it.
