At the beginning of May we saw the Avian Influenza UK Housing Restrictions finally lifted although we still have some legal obligations. In this programme we'll cover:
An update on the legal obligations related to the UK Avian Influenza risk, which are sensible good practise for all chicken keepers
How to break a brood for a broody hen. You may remember Chocolate fell broody in April and we decided to break her brood prior to the announcement of the lifting of the Avian Influenza Restrictions
Care for Broody Hens. We now have another broody hen called Marshmallow that we are giving eggs to incubate.
Gapeworm. Now our chickens are free-ranging again, Gapeworm is something we're looking out for.
