2019 was easily another one of my favorite years for railfanning as a whole. This year, I made my two-week long trip down to the CSX Dothan Subdivision, and got to record a ton of cool and unique crossings as a result. I also managed to get a couple of videos of Alabama's last active US&S Teardrop bell before it was replaced in the latter-half of the year, for which I'm rather grateful. I also managed to record the last pair of StopGate barriers in use at a crossing here in the US, which were also sadly replaced within a couple of years of my video of them. This year, I also visited Mississippi for the first time finally, and got to record the KCS for the first time as a result as well, along with some ex-IC and ex-C&C signals around Corinth. I also made a trip over to the West Tennessee Railroad, where I got to record their classic ex-GMO/ex-IC/ex-NS crossing equipment, along with their classic Dash-7s, including their two GE C30-7s! This year was also my last visit (so far) to the TSRR, and I also got to meet-up with @TheCentralTexasRailfan a couple of times in the summer. I even got to shoot some cool older signals on the BNSF Birmingham Subdivision, as well as a few unusual installs, such as a crossing with a signal that completely lacked any front or side lights. With the sheer variety of equipment I got to record this year, I'd honestly say this was easily the best year I've ever had for railfanning so far. However, I wouldn't entirely say it's been all downhill since then...
