A lawyer has filed an impeachment complaint against President Bongbong Marcos.
This marks the first-ever impeachment complaint filed against the president.
The grounds for the complaint include the move to turn over former President Rodrigo Duterte to the International Criminal Court (ICC), and the failure to veto unprogrammed items in the national budget.
Malacañang stressed that the issues raised in the impeachment complaint have long been addressed.
While claiming no knowledge of the filer's intentions, the Palace also pointed out that the person who endorsed the complaint is allegedly one of the eight contractors mentioned by the ICC.
