Self Intro Opto Electronics

Hi! I’m Tharun Lachapet, and I’m from India.

I graduated with a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
from MLR Institute of Technology.

Right now, I’m working as a Testing and Quality Engineer
at Hi-Power Electrical Industries,
where I focus on transformer production and high-voltage testing.

Before that, I worked at Ai Semi Pvt Ltd
validating AI-generated datasets
for VHDL-based semiconductor projects.

Over time, I’ve developed a strong interest in optoelectronics—
especially integrated optoelectronic devices,
semiconductor materials,
and VLSI system design.

This interest really grew during my undergrad projects
like when I designed a Sudoku-based reconfiguration algorithm
for solar PV arrays under partial shading,
and built a motor synchronization system
using optocoupler-based semiconductor switches.

What really excites me about NTUT
is how it blends advanced research
with strong industry connections in Taiwan’s tech ecosystem.

India’s push for self-reliance in semiconductor manufacturing
is promising but there’s a shortage of skilled professionals
in areas like chip design and fabrication. I also deeply connect with the "Make in India" initiative.

That’s where I want to step in.

By specializing in low-power VLSI circuits,
AI-driven chip optimization, and fault-tolerant systems,
I aim to contribute to building
energy-efficient, high-performance semiconductor solutions.

With my academic foundation, practical experience,
and passion for innovation,
I believe I’d be a great fit for NTUT’s optoelectronics program.
