The World Dinosaurs Left Behind...

Sixty six million years ago, a colossal meteor, over six miles wide in diameter, smashed into the Gulf of Mexico, marking the end of the Mesozoic Era - the age of dinosaurs. Across North America, prehistoric icons such as Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops could only watch as their entire lineages were destroyed in the comparative blink of an eye. Left behind in a choking world of ash and darkness, these mighty reptiles could no longer sustain themselves, and all over the world, non avian dinosaurs became extinct.

It was not a fast process, and neither was the eventual recovery of Planet Earth's ecosystems. But life, as we know, finds a way.
