Speed-Draw: Norma Jean (Mother's Day Special 2022)

For Mother's Day, I drew who I think is my favorite movie mother. Norma Jean, from Happy Feet. I love her graceful personality, and how absolutely sweet she is with her baby, Mumble, the main protagonist. Did you know that dot on her chest is a little heart?
She's only ever concerned about Mumble being musically challenged when she thinks about his future, not wanting him to be lonely without a girlfriend to sing with. And she only questions the unusual skip in his feet when she first meets him as a newborn, but she smiles three seconds later. She was probably only worried that his feet movements were a physical deformity, a limp, and was glad to see that it was just his way of expressing joy. Norma Jean adores and supports Mumble for who he is, even giggles when she watches him break out in a cute big dance. She's determined and completely unafraid to stick up for him when he's frowned upon or cast out. When his peers have a legitimate graduation without him, his mama helps him feel better by making her own quick salute with him, and doesn't hesitate to cheer loudly like she believes Mumble deserves. When Mumble is being chewed out by the elder leaders, his mama comes through and defends him with her graceful sassy attitude, also with no hesitation whatsoever. With the whole nation and her husband turned on Mumble, she chooses Mumble. This is a passionate, kind and devoted mother.
