Because no one is talking about these tips, despite the fact that there are so many unique paths to going professional, even if you started late. In fact, most people will tell you that it's absolutely impossible to have any kind of career in ballet after a pretty young age.

Yes, many professional ballet dancers require years of training, and we alsways seem to hear about how short a dancers career is. So it certainly wouldn't seem like an adult could START a professional career, right? But this is a common misconception. There's a lot more professional opportunity for adults than you might guess. But with all of this said, it doesn't mean that any of this is EASY. So is it worth becoming a professional ballet dancer? Well, it depends. What matters is why you choose to become a ballerina in the first place.
