Albany’s Most Acclaimed Architect: Henry Hobson Richardson — Full Program Video

On 11/17/2025, we had the pleasure of celebrating the extraordinary life and work of Albany’s most acclaimed architect, Henry Hobson Richardson. Co-presented by the NY Court of Appeals and the Society, the program opened with remarks from Chief Judge Rowan D. Wilson and featured a lecture moderated by the Society’s Henry “Hank” Greenberg.

A full courtroom heard Jay Wickersham, Former Professor in Practice at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, offer an engaging overview of Richardson’s remarkable career, with a particular focus on his Albany work. He was joined by Hope Mayo, Former Philip Hofer Curator of Printing and Graphic Arts at Houghton Library, Harvard University, and architect Chris Milford, a specialist in historic preservation and restoration, who both provided thoughtful commentary and context.
