WOW! My first race of 2020 and came in with a sub 18:20 time for a 5k, which for me as i soon approach my 60th birthday, was a super result in the male veteran age category win MV55 and finishing 20th overall.

After being admitted to hospital a couple of days after my last marathon in December 2019 and with recent COVID restrictions, i have not been able to do any racing.

With so many races having been cancelled with COVID-19 restrictions, i thought it would be nice to film the whole race and share with everyone the vibe of a race as i know many people in parts of the world are still not able to race and are missing the vibe. Hope this helps in some way.

As this was my first race of 2020, i thought i would film the whole race running with my GoPro Hero8 Black and produced a new PB for my Male Veteran age category of MV55 as i will soon be 60.

Based on my current age grading, that puts this result within a couple of percent below World Class result, which is incredible!
