"BLM is not an apolitical group dedicated to the important aim of eradicating racism. It is a divisive, ideological movement.

England's Euro 2021 campaign should be a unifying moment, when the nation forgets its differences in order to cheer on Gareth Southgate's team.

Instead, the tournament is being overshadowed by political controversy.

Let’s take a look at Black Lives Matter and what it actually stands for.

In 2020 a video of the horrific murder of George Floyd rightly sparked instant international fury and disgust.

Suddenly, Black Lives Matter, the once-fringe movement known for its anti-police rhetoric and sometimes violent tactics, became a worldwide phenomenon and the mainstream authority on race.

But this group goes far beyond a simple slogan.

Under the guise of “anti-racism”, it is pushing a hard-Left narrative, imported from the United States, of a Britain divided into two groups: victims and oppressors.

It does not seek a colour-blind society, but the complete opposite. Each of us is judged by the colour of our skin.

This taps into a zeitgeist among young liberals: the idea that white people should feel guilty for the crimes of their ancestors, and that it is up to white people to save oppressed minorities from their woes."
