Draining the Engine Coolant from an Aston Martin DB9

The first part of flushing the engine coolant from the V12 engine in my 2005 Aston Martin DB9 was draining out the old coolant. You have to get the car up off the ground and remove the aerodynamic undertray to access the radiator drain plug only to be rewarded with a shower of coolant.
Let me show you how to tackle this and how to test and reuse your old coolant if needed.

If you are needing a new drain plug gasket - Aston doesn't sell this. It turns out that it is a common part with Jaguar (p/n W0133-1785042), and you can get a new drain plug with gasket for about $20 USD online. https://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/...
