For 4-4-1 I used tyan's strat from his ACWM run (another entry in the tyan saga), but with a key difference that saves a good amount of time. Perhaps you noticed me not immediately magnet dancing. That is on purpose.
In short the reason is that in doing so Luigi will target a different enemy for his Steely Stare.
If you immediately activate Magnet Dance Luigi will target the Valkyrie to the right, but by delaying the activation the Valkyrie in the back gets time to lean away from the adjacent block and thus can get to a position faster, where Luigi can target it.
This causes Luigi to start shooting the Valkyrie we want to. In the meantime the Valkyrie to the right still moves and has enough time to get out of sight before Luigi could take the third shot.

All of this reduces menuing a bit, but more importantly it saves having to take one extra shot with Mario, which amounts to about 10 seconds!

I found this tech while experimenting with Manget Dance enemy displacement , so I was happy to use it here. Definitely possible that this is already know though.
Btw the day Manget Dance enemy displacement gets used in a run is going to be wild. It is accounted for in the any% run in funnily enough 4-4-1 specifically (in case you accidentally get it). I can't imagine anybody actually going for it though.

Also fun fact: I almost used another glitch (Phantom M-Power) in 4-4-2, but that strat unfortunately ended up not quite working out, cause Luigi was 15 damage short... So looks like we still need to wait till that ends up in a run.
