Dalit activist Jignesh Mevani joins Rajdeep Sardesai on India Today to address the looming issues of freedom of speech, the line between inciting violence and holding an opinion, the crackdown on dissent in the country and the very real national security issue that Maoists are posing. The BJP has hit back at the Congress' charges that the Modi government is targeting those with anti-government issues, saying that the Congress did the same thing while in power in 2007. The onus is now on the Pune police to prove that the activists are actually linked to the Maoist coup.
