Two of the men accused in the Senzo Meyiwa murder case are said to have deposed affidavits, confessing to the murder of the soccer star.
This emerged during former defence lawyer Adv Malesela Teffo’s unsuccessful bid for a trial within a trial, which failed as a result of the lawyers' failure to follow court procedures.
The families have now spoken out, claiming their children were severely assaulted and offered money to take the fall for Senzo Meyiwa’s murder.
Newzroom Afrika’s Linda Mnisi travelled to the heart of rural Nongoma and filed this exclusive report.
