Drum Room Mic Shootout - 8 Mics Tested

We've been having a lot of fun trying out different mics lately at the drum shop. For this shootout test we tried a few different room mics to see what sounded best in our room. And since we were doing this already, we thought it would be a good time to make a video comparison!

The main three mics we'll use for room mics are the SE 4400, SE VR2, and the Blue Spark SL. But of course we had to throw in a dedicated snare mic (SE V7X), our usual trash mic (SM57) and a solid kick mic just for fun (e602-II). And while we're at it why not put a vocal mic in there too with the Sure Super 55 Deluxe?

Had a lot of fun testing out the results so hopefully this helps you out in some decision making for the future. Enjoy!
