A powerful scene from "Who's Gurkhan?" The 4th episode of the 6th and final season of Xena: Warrior Princess which is one of my favourite episodes and it was Xena at it's darkest and Renee O'Connor gave one of her best performances as Gabrielle and explores the dangers of seeking revenge. In the scene, Xena (Lucy Lawless), Gabrielle (Renee O'Connor), Eve (Adrienne Wilkinson) and Virgil (William Gregory Lee) visits Gabrielle's sister Lila (Willa O'Neil) and during a thunder storm, Lila tells Gabrielle that their parents are dead and that 8 years earlier, an evil pirate called Gurkhan murdered them and took and enslaved her daughter Sarah. Xena follows a distraught Gabrielle outside and tries to console her and promises that they will find and rescue Sarah. But, Gabrielle tells Xena that it's not just a rescue mission and she vows vengeance on Gurkhan.
