PUFFER - sitting on the outside VI fest 7.5.24

The first set shared from Canada's 2024 four day festival, SITTING ON THE OUTSIDE VI in Ottawa, ON. Video Nasty presents:

PUFFER

When attending a multiple day long punk / hardcore festival it takes a lot to stand out. Especially when the bill is stacked with such a huge amount of heavy hitters.
PUFFER, out of Montreal, QC, had absolutely no problem doing so. A pummeling set of driving, catchy, riff-heavy rock-n-roll infused hardcore-punk. A non-stop barrage of catchy riffs and swinging fists. In the midst of a day and age of Oi! revival, PUFFER is a shining beacon, incorporating different aspects of hardcore and punk while keeping things memorable and classic sounding. A true standout.


A yearly fest put on by Ottawa punks, this year SOTO VI was carried by SkaJeff and Hobbes, and I was honored to be a visiting third party helping out wherever help was needed, be it providing backline, running errands, solving problems, carting punks around to different locations in my van, etc. This years lineup included sets by THE HELL, BETON ARME, SCIENCE MAN, WET SPECIMENS, ALEMENT, NERVOUS TICK AND THE ZIPPER LIPS, POISON RUIN, and many more. Other sets from the event are sure to be shared down the line including the prospect of a collection video where a song from every set is shared on a video for each night of the festival.


PUFFER has had a busy year, but is finding the time to come into the states for a quick little rip and I will be lucky enough to be driving them around. Come see a killer band and catch me filming upcoming Video Nasty content:
