Forty-six-year-old Sherman Lee, from Lodi, was forced to have part of his left arm removed after a driver in a car hit him back in 2007, causing severe nerve damage. After three years of contemplating whether he should return to racing, Lee got back on the bike and not only raced — he taught himself to race with a prosthetic hand. See more above.
