donk breaks the Major ace record

Danil "⁠donk⁠" Kryshkovets was named Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 MVP after Spirit's 2-1 victory over FaZe in the grand final.

The 17-year-old phenom has become the youngest-ever Major champion and MVP at 17 years and 324 days, breaking both records which were set by Markus "⁠Kjaerbye⁠" Kjærbye at the ELEAGUE Major in 2017 (18 years and 277 days).

This is donk's first Major MVP, which he adds to a cabinet alongside five more individual accolades — four from 2024, his first full year of play and officially his rookie year —, including one from IEM Katowice.

donk did so with a lights-out campaign in which he also become the highest-rated Major MVP (Elimination Stage and Playoffs) with a 1.49 rating, beating out Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev's 1.47 at PGL Stockholm.
