This is actually the first time I'm "pulling" an eggsac - Usually I'll allow the mother to incubate them herself. However, today's experience wasn't the best for a first. All the eggs pretty much rotted and did not survive. Not sure if they were infertile from the start, or just died.. but the mother was really full-on looking after the eggs. Till the end she did not give up. Guess she herself didn't know the eggs were not going to hatch. BUMMER!
