(26 Dec 2016) Fans and well wishers placed tributes outside the home of pop superstar George Michael in Goring, England, following his death at the age of 53.
Michael's manager on Sunday confirmed the death, saying the cause was heart failure.
Before his announcement, police had issued a statement calling Michael's death at his home in Goring "unexplained but not suspicious".
Michael reached fame with WHAM! and went on to a solo career lined with hits that blended soul and dance music with social and personal commentary.
His death continues a year of grief in the music industry, with David Bowie, Prince and Glenn Frey among those dying.
