A solo journey across the Zillertal Alps, following the legendary Berliner Höhenweg — one of the most demanding and scenic hut-to-hut routes in the Austrian Alps.

This film documents the full traverse, walked alone, through days of rain, fog, cold summer mornings, exposed sections, ladders, cables, alpine valleys, waterfalls, lakes, and historic DAV huts.
What was planned as a classic high route turned into a lesson in adaptation, weather judgment, and mountain patience — including a long detour when Schönbichler Horn became impossible to cross.

From Grüne Wand Hütte to Kasseler, Greizer, Berliner, Furtschaglhaus, Olperer Hütte, Friesenberghaus, and down to Schlegeis Stausee, this is not a highlight reel — but a real alpine journey, exactly as it unfolded.
