Disney Wonder Cruise to Alaska Day8!|Tiana's Mardi Gras|Diaper Dash

Disney Wonder, Alaska 9 Night Cruise, July 2025. Day 8, Sea Day! Join us for our latest adventure!

Sea days are among our favorite cruising days. We love the slower pace and the opportunity to do as much or as little as we choose. We were sad to leave Alaska, but were still making the most of the remaining days onboard the Wonder. There were Mickey churro waffles for a third time offered at Cabanas for breakfast, the perfect way to start our day!

Jack Jack's Incredible Diaper Dash is a cruise event that we try and catch on most sailings. We enjoy seeing the racing babies and are happy to cheer along for all the contestants. One thing we had not had the chance to do this cruise was to sample the beignets at the French Quarter Lounge. We were able to do some crafting and have a nice snack while there were games going on that the kids participated in. We love the theming in the lounge!

Freezing the Night Away, the Frozen-themed deck party, was rescheduled due to weather from Glacier Day to the last sea day. We had been looking forward to seeing all our favorite characters. So many people went all out in costumes which further added to the excitement. Unfortunately, due to technical issues, the show ended abruptly, and we were never able to see Elsa or the final half of the show.

Broadway star Zach Kononov was featured in Azure as a special guest entertainer. He shared his accomplishments and sang a bit. We learned that he was in the original Beauty and the Beast cast on the Disney Dream and he was also guest starring in Frozen on the Wonder as Olaf. We love the opportunity Disney provides to learn more about their entertainers.

The second Broadway style production was the featured show for the evening in the Walt Disney Theater. We can't speak highly enough about Frozen: A Musical Spectacular. While we love all the shows on Disney Cruise Line, this one is near the top for our family. The story of Frozen literally comes alive on stage with all the songs, costumes and delight that these beloved characters have brought to life for years. This show should not be missed!

It was Mardi Gras night at Tiana's Place! This is one of the most lively and entertaining dinners, and we had been looking forward to the evening. The Crawfish Crooners were incredible, and we loved seeing Tiana and Louis one last time. Food offerings were Louisiana inspired with menu items including boudin sausage fritters, shrimp and grits, seafood pepperpot, creamy tomato soup, creole chicken and more. We enjoyed most things but like any meal, dessert was the best part! The pecan tart and white chocolate bread pudding were amazing, and the no sugar added lemon raspberry mousse bomb was an honorable mention. The Mardi Gras parade around the dining room was so very fun!
