Zach Owings on Quitting the MLB, Self-Worth, and GaryVee Saving His Life

Welcome back to another episode of The One Percent Podcast. Today we sat down with, Zach Owings is a former major league professional baseball player for the Miami Marlins. Growing up for Zach success was only measured success and self-worth was only measured by how well he performed and succeeded in sports. As a result he struggled in understanding his value to the world, love for himself, and more importantly his own self-worth. When Zach got drafted to the Miami Marlins he labeled it as “the worst day of his life”. All the years of hard work and dedication leading to this moment, and it didn’t feel like everything he hoped for. He eventually came to the realization that baseball wasn’t really his dream rather it was his families. Everything changed when one day Zach came across ​Gary Vaynerchuk’s content, and his whole perspective on life was altered. He ended up quitting baseball and started to work for his idol and now mentor Garyvee.
