Blå Hallen (Blue Hall) is a cultural hub located in Höganäs, southern Sweden.
Blå Hallen is an impressive five-storey brick building from the early 1900s that previously served as the Höganäsbolaget company's (Höganäs AB) central warehouse. It got its name from the roof beams that were once painted blue. For a couple of weekends in July, the 5,000 square meters are filled with some 60 exhibitors with crafts as a common denominator.
This building hosts art exhibitions and also houses the Blå Hallen auditorium. Two huge wooden halls were added in the 1940s. During the fairs, exhibitors move into the halls, and the Blå Hallen stage, bar and restaurant are also located here.
Here, art, crafts, design, fashion, antiques, music and literature meet. Blå Hallen fairs have grown into cultural festivals.
Blå Hallen Höganäs is run by Martin Enget and Xi Wallén Keller, who in July each year create a destination for crafts with around 8-10,000 visitors per weekend.
Each year, a themed exhibition is also created. This summer 2025, the Blue Hall presents a retrospective tribute to the extraordinary life of Tage Andersen.
Tage Andersen, born 1947, is a Danish floral artist. Tage Andersen is a trained confectioner, but ended up in the flower business in 1967. As an artist, he is known for his peculiar and often surreal compositions, in which he combines materials from nature in an innovative way.
Tage Andersen, best known for his extravagant floral art, has a completely unique design language. With his dreamy installations and imaginative environments, he takes the viewer on a journey.
Tage Andersen has pushed the boundaries of what is considered art and has been recognized with solo exhibitions at e.g. The National Gallery of Denmark, Charlottenborg Palace and Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen. and Millesgården in Stockholm.
The exhibition at Blå Hallen is a generous presentation of Tage Andersen's lifelong artistry as a pastry chef, florist, set designer, designer and artist, but perhaps above all as a life artist.

Höganäs is a picturesque town located in the southernmost region of Sweden, Skåne (Scania). This charming coastal town is known for its beautiful beaches, stunning nature, and rich cultural heritage.
Höganäs is a locality and the seat of Höganäs Municipality, in the beautiful Skåne County (Scania). Its population is about 15,000.
The Höganäs municipality is located on the Kullen peninsula, protruding into the Kattegat sea area, in southwest Sweden. The Peninsula's extreme part is known as the nature reserve Kullaberg hill, with the picturesque villages of Mölle and Arild. The nature reserve is an important bird area of Sweden and a location of several rare plant species.
The Kullen Lighthouse, the most powerful lighthouse in Scandinavia, is located on the western point of Kullaberg.
The Swedish company Höganäs AB (before 1967 called Höganäsbolaget), the world's largest producer of powdered metals, has the main office in Höganäs. It develops and markets powders for customers in metallurgical industries.
The Höganäs company' origins can be traced back to 1797, when coalmining started in the village of Höganäs. The company was founded by Count Eric Ruuth. It is one of Sweden's oldest companies. Coalmining, bricks and industrial ceramics have played important parts in the company's history.
Höganäsbolaget mined coal. The clay that could mined as well could be used for bricks and pottery. The coal was used in the ovens.
Production of yellow glazed household pottery started in 1832 and in time the sturdy salt glazed brown jars became synonymous with Höganäs. Production of household goods and art pottery was discontinued in 1926. Salt glazed goods was produced until 1954, but smaller manufacturers keep up the supply.
Höganäs is also known for its ceramics industry and Höganäs Keramik.
Höganäsbolaget in 1926 switched completely to stoneware production. Höganäs Keramik (originally called Andersson & Johansson's Pottery Factory) took over their premises for pottery production.
The last coal mine closed in 1961. Abandoned mine shafts run below the fields and the clay rests underground. Today the Höganäs company focuses solely on metal powders.
The Höganäs Keramik factory in Höganäs was closed in 2008 when all production was moved to Thailand. Höganäs Keramik remained a separate brand within the Finnish Iittala Group (owner Fiskars Group) until 2014, when it became a product line under the Rörstrand brand.
