RUNNERS V RIDERS BOXING DAY 2025
Runners v Riders is a traditional festive event. Where runners race cyclists to compete for the Markham Cup. The 1st 6 runners or riders over the finish line will win the cup The event first started in the 1930's and has gathered pace every year and now lots of people look forward to the challenge of racing either a runner or a cyclist on the off road and very muddy terrain of Friday Woods - a military training ground in Colchester. It's a challenging 3 lap course, but loved by all.
