Welcome back! Before we get in the air, let me welcome you with a scenic intro from the breathtaking landscapes at the Atacama Desert in northern Chile, which is the driest desert on the planet! Starting at the charming adobe town of San Pedro de Atacama, a peaceful oasis in the region, this video will take you through the complete departure of a flight from Calama Airport; which is the main gateway to the world-famous Atacama Desert. El Loa Airport is located 100 km / 62 miles northwest of San Pedro de Atacama.

We will be flying SKY Airline, the biggest budget airline in Chile. Founded back in 2001 and based in Santiago (SCL), SKY Airline operates both domestic and international flights across Chile and other countries in Latin America, like Perú, Argentina, and Uruguay. Its fleet currently consists of 22 aircraft; 5 of them are Airbus A319's, which are gradually being replaced with the more-efficient Airbus A320neo aircraft. They have a total of 17 Airbus A320 Neo at the moment.

The crew on this flight was nice, though it was all in all an average flight, with nothing to point out, apart from the impressive views throughout the journey.
