In this video, I experience Eid al-Fitr 2025 in Indonesia, home to the largest Muslim population in the world! From the vibrant night before Eid filled with fireworks, Eid Takbir, and traditional drumming to the powerful Eid prayer at Masjid Istiqlal, Indonesia’s biggest mosque, this is an Eid celebration like no other.

The night before Eid, the entire country comes alive in a way I’ve never seen before. The streets are filled with the sounds of the Eid Takbir, echoing from mosques and homes, while fireworks light up the sky. Locals gather in communities, playing traditional drums in a rhythmic celebration that makes the anticipation of Eid even more exciting. The energy is electric, and the atmosphere is pure joy as everyone prepares to welcome the special day.

On Eid morning, I head to Masjid Istiqlal in Jakarta, the largest mosque in Southeast Asia, where thousands of worshippers gather for the Eid prayer. The sight of so many people coming together, dressed in their best, filling the mosque and its surrounding areas, is absolutely breathtaking. The sound of the Takbir, the moment of prayer, and the sheer scale of the congregation make this an experience I’ll never forget.

After prayers, the celebration continues as people greet each other with "Selamat Idul Fitri" and embrace the spirit of forgiveness and togetherness. Families head home to enjoy special Eid meals, and the streets fill with a festive energy that’s truly heartwarming. Indonesia’s Eid traditions, hospitality, and sense of community make this celebration so unique, and I can’t wait to share every moment with you.
