We sent Howard Ritchie off with the new BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe, M850i, to prove it handles brilliantly for its size and might just be the most enticing BMW for years.

The potent 530hp 4.4-litre M850i V8 is the top-of-the-range choice of BMW 8 Series. Producing 530hp and 750 Nm of torque, it's enough for a 0-62mph time of 3.9 seconds.
