Mel from Animato Strings demonstrates the setting up of a Capriccio violin. 7 Steps:
1. Check the Fingerboard regarding humps, dips, direction. Plane if required.
2. Adjust pegs, including peg paste
3. Polish pegs (optional)
4. Adjust the nut, including width, depth of grooves and their distance from each other
5. Carve bridge, including feet, height, curve, thickness, fine-carving
6. Fit sound post, including length, angle of cut, position, quality
7. Putting it all together, including carbon fiber tail piece, lubricating string adjusters, fitting good strings
