五台山普壽寺坐落於台懷鎮東北隅，是五台山乃至全國規模最大、規制最完備的漢傳佛教尼眾（比丘尼）道場之一，隸屬於佛教律宗，以嚴持戒律、精進修行聞名。寺院始建於北宋，歷經興廢，現存建築多為現代重修擴建而成，整體佈局嚴謹，殿宇莊嚴，環境清幽，是尼眾修行、研習佛法的清淨聖地。
普壽寺建築遵循漢式古建規制，中軸線上依次為山門、天王殿、大雄寶殿、藏經閣等核心建築，兩側配建鐘鼓樓、伽藍殿、地藏殿、尼寮、講經堂等附屬設施。其中，大雄寶殿為寺內主殿，殿內供奉三世佛、文殊菩薩、普賢菩薩等聖像，造像工藝精湛，神情莊嚴；藏經閣珍藏有大量佛教經卷、法器，是寺院佛法傳承的重要載體。寺內遍植蒼松翠柏，曲徑通幽，處處彌漫著清靜莊嚴的修行氛圍。

作為漢傳佛教尼眾修行的典範道場，普壽寺不僅承載著律宗佛法傳承的使命，更為尼眾提供了系統的佛法教育與修行環境。寺院定期開展講經、誦經等宗教活動，吸引著海內外眾多尼眾前來求學修行，也成為遊客感受佛教清淨文化、了解尼眾修行生活的重要場所。

Pushou Temple of Wutai Mountain is located in the northeast corner of Taihuai Town. It is one of the largest and most well-structured nunneries (for bhikkhunis) of Han Buddhism in Wutai Mountain and even the whole country, belonging to the Vinaya School of Buddhism, and is famous for strictly observing precepts and diligent practice. Founded in the Northern Song Dynasty, the temple has gone through ups and downs. Most of the existing buildings were rebuilt and expanded in modern times. With a rigorous overall layout, solemn halls and a quiet environment, it is a pure sacred place for bhikkhunis to practice and study Buddhism.
The architecture of Pushou Temple follows the regulations of Han-style ancient buildings. Along the central axis are the Mountain Gate, Heavenly King Hall, Mahavira Hall, Scripture Repository and other core buildings in sequence. Flanking them are auxiliary facilities such as the Bell and Drum Towers, Jialan Hall, Ksitigarbha Hall, nun's quarters and lecture hall. Among them, the Mahavira Hall is the main hall of the temple, enshrining sacred statues such as the Three Buddhas, Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, which are exquisitely crafted and solemn in demeanor; the Scripture Repository houses a large number of Buddhist scriptures and ritual utensils, which are important carriers of the inheritance of Buddhism in the temple. The temple is surrounded by green pines and cypresses, with winding paths leading to seclusion, and the quiet and solemn practice atmosphere pervades everywhere.

As a model nunnery for Han Buddhist bhikkhunis' practice, Pushou Temple not only undertakes the mission of inheriting the Vinaya School's Buddhism, but also provides a systematic Buddhist education and practice environment for bhikkhunis. The temple regularly carries out religious activities such as sutra lectures and recitations, attracting many bhikkhunis from home and abroad to study and practice. It has also become an important place for tourists to experience the pure Buddhist culture and understand the practice life of bhikkhunis.
