Episode 1: Nadi & Wayasewa - voyage begins in Fiji

Description:
Our travel adventure begins in Nadi, Fiji! In a welcoming first visit to Fiji, we explore beaches and the sights and sounds around Nadi, which includes horses, local bus rides, a questionably tasting pina colada, and the largest Hindu temple in the Pacific. Taking a catamaran ferry, we float over vibrant blue waters to a remote and secluded homestay along a beach on the south side of Wayasewa island. Daniel attempts to give a summary of the timely book “Island” he is reading at the time, while Catherine enjoys the private beach. Our hosts at Naqalia Lodge guide us on a sunrise hike and invite us on a trip to the village. We hike our first volcano about 300m in elevation to a stunning viewpoint over the village and are invited to a local celebration involving Suki.
