Announcing Beverly Shear Manufactured By Mittler Bros Machine & Tool

We are very pleased to officially announce that Mittler Bros. Machine and Tool has purchased the Beverly Shear Manufacturing Company.

Beverly Shear has been a proud, family-owned American manufacturer of throatless shears for over 89 years. The Nebel family is credited with, not only inventing the throatless shear, but also manufacturing their product with such high quality that it lasts for decades.
For over 40 years, Mittler Bros. has been a family-owned American manufacturer of fabrication equipment and specialty machines. We are proud to welcome the Beverly Shear brand into the Mittler Bros. family of products.

Not only did Mittler Bros. purchase the Beverly Shear name, we purchased the entire company; including all the original engineering drawings, along with all of the jigs, fixtures and original machines used to manufacture and assemble the shears. We also retained all the same foundries and material suppliers for the components that go into building each shear. We have trained with the people that have been building Beverly Shears for decades, ensuring each unit is built to the same exacting standards you have come to expect from a Beverly Shear.

We have taken great care to replicate the original Beverly Shear processes, while updating the machining operations to our state-of-the-art CNC machines to improve productivity. If you need parts for your older shear, we are producing new parts that are direct replacements. We are making the blades from the same high quality steel, to the same specifications to ensure they will last for years. When you purchase a Beverly Shear built by Mittler Bros., you can be assured you will receive an original Beverly Shear.

I would like to thank the Nebel family for all of their help throughout this transition. The decision to sell their company, after 89 years, was not an easy one. Beverly Shear Manufacturing is not just a business, but a family legacy, built over three generations.
We would like to assure the Nebel family that we will honor their legacy by continuing to build the best throatless shears using the same time-honored traditions and proudly made by our skilled craftsmen in the United States of America.
