Mademoiselle is Caroline Verdi, born in 1958 and just 14 years old when this was released. Maybe surprisingly it's a cover version of a song by British Glam Rockers SLADE. Written by drummer Don Powell and bassist Jim Lea it was a hit single for them in the same year. Noddy Holder also wrote the original version but he's been removed from a credit here and French lyricist Jacques Blanchard added.
