One of the most famous duets in all of operetta, “Lippen schweigen” (“Love Unspoken”) closes Lehár’s The Merry Widow with elegance and charm. This tender waltz celebrates love’s union through graceful melodies and lilting rhythms, capturing the romance and sophistication that made the operetta an international success.
This performance was presented as part of the 2025 season of Orvieto Musica in Orvieto, Italy.
