A demonstration to show the range of sounds of the Hotone KRUSH Bitcrusher/Sample Rate Reducer with the use of drum sounds and analogue synthesizers.
Normally I don't like my instruments to play automatically, but for this demo it was nice to have my hands free for turning the knobs of the KRUSH and the synthesizers.
Setup:
KORG M1 EX plays a drum pattern with Output 1 going into the Alesis mixing console, Output 3 triggering the arpeggiator of the Poly-61 and Output 4 triggering the arpeggiator of the Mono/Poly.
KORG Poly-61 plays a single oscillator PWM bass; arpeggiator triggered by the M1 EX. Signal Output goes into the Alesis mixing console.
KORG Mono/Poly plays a 4 oscillator lead sound (PWM, 8', 2', 4' & 16') in Unison mode in the first two thirds and in Poly mode (triangle 8', 2', 4' & 16') in the last third. Signal Output goes into the Alesis mixing console.
KORG MS-20 mini plays a 2 oscillator lead sound (sawtooth, 8' & 8' + 7 semi-tones), LPF with high peak values, EG with shortest attack and decay rates, triggered by the trigger output of the Mono/Poly. Signal Output goes into the Hotone GRASS.
Hotone GRASS overdrive pedal was used used to distort the sound of the MS-20 mini. Output goes into the Alesis mixing console.
The mixed sound of the four synthesizers goes through the Pre Aux Output of the Alesis mixing console into the BOSS OD-2R pedal in bypass mode (solely for buffering reasons), into the Hotone KRUSH pedal and back into a separate channel of the mixing console and through the Main Ouput straight into the sound card.
