Germany is reeling after one of its biggest bank robberies unfolded during the Christmas holidays. Thieves drilled through a concrete wall from a parking garage to break into a Sparkasse bank vault in Gelsenkirchen, forcing open more than 3,000 safe-deposit boxes. Cash, gold and jewellery worth an estimated $35 million to $105 million were stolen. The crime went undetected for days and was only discovered after a fire alarm was triggered early Monday. Police say the operation was highly professional, likening it to a real-life Ocean's Eleven. Investigations are ongoing and the suspects remain at large.
