The Republic of Singapore, is a modern city-state and island country in Southeast Asia. Located on the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula and only 137 kilometres north of the equator. The country's territory consists of the diamond-shaped main island, commonly referred to as Singapore Island in English and Pulau Ujong in Malay, and more than 60 significantly smaller islets.
From Kuala Lumpur you can reach Singapore quite easily by car within 4-5 hours drive. During our 2 days trip we could discover the Universal Studios and celebrate the New Year 2013 in the Fulerton which is nicly located to get a perfect view on Marina Bay including the newly developed Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
